Location York or NorwichWe are looking for the next member of our web analytics and optimisation team.

If you joined our team, you will be joining a group of hard working professionals who are focused on value and positive outcomes. We help our colleagues understand how people are using our websites and online services with a view to improving the performance of sales, marketing activity or the customer experience.

We support each other and collaborate with our colleagues. We expect a high level of professionalism and integrity in everything we do. We specifically support the non-direct part of the UK Aviva business. This includes our main Aviva PLC website Aviva.com, our websites for intermediaries such as financial advisers and insurance brokers, and also quote and apply processes for our strategic partners such as HSBC, Barclays and Santander.

ABOUT WORKING IN OUR TEAM

We’re a small team who work with agile, collaborative, cross-functional teams, developing strong relationships with the people we work with. We take care to help our colleagues to understand the often confusing and complex data from web analytics and other digital tools with the goal of improving the effectiveness of sales and marketing and the digital experience of our customers.

There is a high demand for our services and because we own the end to end web analytics process, our roles are incredibly varied and rewarding.

Our team members are passionate about what we do and if you were to become the next member of our team you would be helping us to:

  • Implement best in class web analytics tracking, collecting data from our digital assets using our tag management tool
  • Implement a range of digital marketing technologies using our tag management tool
  • Craft and deliver analysis about our websites to provide actionable insights
  • Utilise Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, Tealeaf and other digital analytics tools to understand customer behaviour across digital assets
  • Support our colleagues to open up access to digital data through self service
  • Create optimisation tests (AB, MVT, targeting) to demonstrate reliable performance improvements
  • Build positive and lasting relationships with our colleagues and strategic partners
  • Maintain Aviva’s reputation for protecting what’s important to our customers. Such as their personal data.
THOSE WHO EXCEL IN THIS ROLE DEMONSTRATE:

  • Strong analytical skills, or been in a role that has required high levels of numeracy
  • Strong attention to detail, inquisitive and good organisational skills.
  • Able to simplify and convey complex data and the insights gathered to varied audiences within the organisation.
  • Excellent verbal, listening and written communication skills.
  • Have a keen interest in web and data based technologies
  • Interested in human behaviour and interaction with technology
  • An appreciation of the need for managing risks and implementing controls to protect our reputation
  • Self sufficient and self motivated to excel with minimal supervision.
EXPERIENCE THAT WOULD BE BENEFICIAL:

  • Experience of Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics
  • Experience of a tag a management tool like Adobe DTM, Google Tag Manager or Tealium
  • Experience of using HTML, JavaScript, or other web coding languages
  • Experience of a user replay technology such as Tealeaf
  • Experience of an optimisation testing tool such as Adobe Target, Optimizely or Mazymiser.

  • Salary of between £21,000 and £30,000
