The primary focus for this part time, minimum 3 month, temporary role is providing support to the purchase ledger function with routine administrative tasks such as data entry, invoice scanning and filing.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • Purchase Ledger
  • Provide scanned images of all purchase invoices
  • Manage filing system for all documents, archiving as required
  • Register invoices into purchase ledger
  • Plan, prioritise own workload in order to achieve targets and meet deadlines
  • Work on own initiative and as part of team
  • Work accurately in a busy, demanding environment whilst adhering to deadlines
  • Communicating effectively in a sensitive and confident manner
  • Build and maintain close working relationships with all internal and external customers to ensure an efficient, courteous and helpful service is provided at all times that contributes positively to teamwork
  • In common with other roles in the organisation, this role needs to be undertaken with due regard to the Data Protection Act and Equal Opportunities policy, responding positively to opportunities for training and Personal Development

Experience required

  • A good degree of numeracy and attention to detail,
  • Ideally experience of high volume purchase ledger invoice processing and general administrative tasks
  • Good verbal and written communication skills with a commitment to providing a high quality service
  • Experience of communicating effectively in a sensitive and confident manner
