A fantastic opportunity is available for you to come and work with the Quantum team to help to drive forward and embed the Quantum University. The Quantum University, a new concept in Aviva, aims to establish Aviva as a world-class, professional data science practice where data scientists aspire to work for us.

We need someone who can take the imitative and develop a people strategy that matches the world class ambitions of the Quantum team. Working in tandem with the University Product Owner, Data science leaders and the Resource Fluidity finance team you will create the blueprint for future global practices within Aviva.

We expect you will role model Aviva values, working collaboratively across teams to drive forward the development of the university at pace. We need someone who is comfortable working with ambiguity, has strong change management experience and fantastic interpersonal skills.

In this exciting role you will be work closely with the Quantum University Lead to develop and implement the people strategy that supports the ambitious targets of the university.

Key activities include:

Enabling the ten University Faculties to become self-sustaining entities that adapt and respond to their fast paced environment. Creating a structure for them to drive consistency in outcomes and share best practice.Create role profiles for the Quantum facultiesValidate the competency mapping / personas of data scientists already created by the businessMap the to be competencies for this group that ensure we have the best of class in rolesWork with the Learning Partner to create development pathways, and identify training and development requirementsCreate external partnerships with universities e.g. Cambridge to attract and develop data scientist expertise and build opportunities for research and development Work with the University Lead, our leading data scientists and Faculty Leads to define and implement a Learning Curriculum that supports the Quantum Strategy ambitionWork with Internal Communications to create and implement a Quantum Communications Strategy for internal and external stakeholders and Quantum University members.Work with Resource Fluidity to define and implement ways of working and processes which reinvent the way we identify, develop and deploy our people to create bench strength and focus on areas with the greatest potential and growthWork with the University Lead and Quantum Partners to develop a Quantum location strategy and execute this planSupport the organisation & running of Quantum events such as conferences.Support the establishment of regional data science centres and incorporate these into the University – Asia, Canada, UK & EuropeAdditional Information
