Schoeller Allibert is looking to recruit a Purchase Ledger Clerk reporting to the Purchase Ledger Supervisor based in Winsford, Cheshire.

Job Purpose

The role of the Purchase Ledger Clerk is to manage the designated section of the purchase ledger and maintain existing systems. Ensure invoices are entered on a timely basis, accurately, and correctly authorised in accordance with Schoeller Allibert Ltd control procedures.

A key member of the UK finance team, your activities will included but are not limited to the following:

Process invoices on time and follow all control proceduresTo ensure suppliers are paid promptly, on time and within agreed termsCreate and process monthly payment runsLiaise with internal personnel, identifying reasons for outstanding invoices and feedback back to suppliersInter-Company processing and reconciliations, to be agreed with other countries on a monthly basisTo carry out any other duties relevant to the post which may ariseProcess daily cash transactions in ScalaProcess expense claims, ensuring that company control procedures are adhered toForecast payment and create weekly funding requestsAssisting with month end reconciliations and journalsJob Skills

Previous experience of working in a finance team2yrs + previous experience of a Purchase Ledger roleExcel Skills – IntermediateExperience of using an accounting systemExcellent communication skills (written & verbal)Ability to write clear and concise correspondenceExcellent numerical abilityStrong interpersonal skillsMicrosoft Office – demonstrates a sound understanding of PC softwareAbility to work towards deadlines, targets and objectivesFamiliarity with working with different currenciesBehavioural Skills
