Engineering Planner / Engineering Coordinator

up to £40,000 pa + Benefits

The Company:

One of Europe’s leading manufacturers of food products with over 7 food processing facilities and 2,000 employees within the UK alone.

The Role:

The appointed Engineering Planner will liaise with members of the Engineering, Production and Quality departments in order to identify future maintenance requirements and to coordinate maintenance activities through the computerised maintenance management system. They will review all maintenance schedules of plant and equipment to determine the frequency of inspections and issue worksheets accordingly.

The Engineering Planner will coordinate contractors and review the standard of work completed by contractors and the internal engineering team, ensuring all work has been completed correctly and meets Health & Safety policies.

The Engineering Planner will manage the engineering stores function, ensuring adequate stock and engineering materials are available in a timely manner. They will support the Engineering Manager to identify shortfalls and potential improvement projects for correction.

The Person:

Suitable applicants will hold relevant engineering qualifications/training and should be able to demonstrate at least 12 months experience working within a manufacturing environment. Applicants will also be competent in the use of computerised systems for maintenance management or stores management.
