Our Security Finance Team is recruiting a highly capable Management Accountant, we are therefore keen to hear from pro-active candidates with a can-do attitude and a hunger to succeed.

Based at our offices on the western fringes of Bury St Edmunds, you will have responsibility for producing accurate and timely monthly management accounts; developing and maintaining contract level performance analysis and working with the business to understand results.

This is a varied and challenging role which provides huge scope for progression and exposure across the business. We are looking for customer-focused and pro-active individuals with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Preparation of monthly management accounts including full balance sheet reconciliation and analytical review of P&L
- Key support to FC in business partnering operations teams to enable full understanding of financial performance and working together to drive improved results
- Preparation of detailed contract level budget information for the division to ensure full control of performance
- Compliance with Group Financial Policy and procedure and establishment of additional policy and procedure as required
- Management of annual external audit
- Ensuring full and complete controls are in place on all business costs and expenditure
- Control and management of all financial systems / applications and processes including identifying and delivering process improvements and efficiencies
- Assistance in due diligence projects (including modelling etc.) and integration following any acquisition
- Other ad-hoc work and projects as directed by the business

Suitable Candidates

- ACCA / CIMA part-qualified / finalist
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Ability to demonstrate strong personal integrity, confidence and discretion
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Customer focused and proactive
- Able to deal with a fast paced continuously evolving role
- An open and honest approach
- Determined and focused on achievement
- Effective communication skills

Our Finance teams deliver outstanding support to our business and customers throughout the week, Monday to Friday, between the hours of 09:00-17:30, however flexibility to meet the needs of the business is essential and is especially true around month end.
