A leading business is now recruiting a Payroll Clerk based in Southampton, offering free parking, a 12 month fixed term contract with potential to go permanent.

As a Payroll Clerk, you will report into the Head of Payroll, duties include:

- Assist and supervise all aspects of payroll from data preparation through to reporting/reconciliation
- Input weekly timesheet data into the payroll system and check input processed by other members of the team
- Develop and maintain the payroll processes to ensure robust and effective processes are in place.
- Prepare and submit period end payroll requirements in liaison with the Treasury Department.
- Deal with payroll and employee benefit queries from members of staff including P11d and P60s, in an effective and efficient manner.
- Continually review payroll systems and processes and put forward any recommendations for improvement.

The successful applicant will have the following attributes:

- Ideally CIPP qualified or studying towards
- Previous knowledge of multi sited organisations with complex ts & cs
- Experienced in Microsoft & Word, advanced skills in Excel
