We are recruiting for a handyperson / caretaker to work on a educational facility in the East Manchester area.
You will be part of a Maintenance Team providing a quality building maintenance service for the Company and the site. To carry out fabric maintenance and repairs to the facility within set timescales in a manner that demonstrates customer care and a high standard of quality, efficiency and compliance with customer requirements. Will cover caretaker duties, site cleans and office/room moves.

On Offer:
The role is a permanent position based on a static site contract. Salary is up to £17,500.00
40 hours per week on a rotating shift pattern of:
6am - 2pm
8am - 5pm
11am - 7pm

Your main duties as caretaker will encompass carrying out various manual and skilled tasks to include:
• PPM and reactive repairs to fabric building maintenance
• The role will also involve general handyperson duties such as – unblocking toilets, site clearances, general upkeep, lamping checks and supply gathering
• To assist the maintenance engineers in electrical and mechanical maintenance where required
• General small works projects
• Client liaison and coordination with the facility managers
• Periodic stock take and audit of maintenance consumables and materials
- assisting on site cleans and classroom moves

The candidate should have previous experience of fabric maintenance and/or caretaking duties
• Presentable and articulate, able to work closely with staff at all levels
• Experience of educational buildings and maintenance operations
- Willingness to complete (or have completed) DBS / CRB
• A willingness to assist in non-skilled tasks and general labouring duties
