Customer & Product Analytics Manager - Accuity - London

Job Summary

This is a role that will ensure Accuity has the information it needs to make the right business decisions to drive growth and retention strategy.

The Customer & Product Analytics Manager will be responsible for spearheading the metrics, data, and analytics that underpin the behaviour-based, data-driven, customer & retention strategy. Customer & Product Analytics Manager will collaborate with all Accuity business units from marketing, sales and product in order to join up customer and product stories, driving actionable insights for Accuity’s leadership.

Customer & Product Analytics Manager and team will be providing analytics using behavioural data and evaluate results which will aid business decisions to increase growth within the Accuity customer lifecycle across the product portfolios.

Conducting whitespace analysis, explore potential growth from new customers to up-sell opportunities at country, regional and product groupings.

Instilling an analytics mindsight among the Accuity group, helping to establish fact based business decisions. Simplifying insights allowing stakeholders to see the story behind the numbers.

Establish a community of best practice in RBI analytics engaging SMEs from the brands. Establish and maintain links to RELX and external analytics centres of best practice to share and promote analytics across the wider business community.

Experience and Education:

- 7+ years predictive analytics, data management and data strategy experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering/Computer Science preferred but not required); or equivalent experience required.

Key Responsibilities May Include:

- Define and deliver strategic customer and channel analytics to support business objectives
- To build and manage a team of data analysts who act as a consultancy team to Accuity – solving the most complex analytics problems for brands, evolving the team as the technology evolves
- To deliver project outcomes to the business aligned to their future growth.
- Manages stakeholder expectations on outcomes and delivery
- To prioritise and manage business demand – establish a request funnel and prioritise projects according to business impact – supporting revenue and profit growth
- Enables the team to succeed – provides the tools, training, coaching and mentoring to develop into a high performing team
- Mentor and/or train data analysts as directed by department management, ensuring they are knowledgeable in critical aspects of their roles.
- Ensure all staff is provided with training and resources needed to perform their jobs to the most outstanding degree possible. Ensure all staff is provided with frequent feedback and coaching in order to meet and exceed individual and team performance goals consistently.
- Run analytical projects end to end for stakeholders, identifying opportunities to increase revenue
- Transform data into actionable insight and analyse customer behaviour to target potential new customers

Technical and Interpersonal Skills May Include:

- Strong knowledge of process improvement.
- Strong knowledge of complex data infrastructures.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Data cleansing and transformation
- The ability to see, understand and explain the bigger picture i.e. outside of technology circle
- Strong commercial awareness, proactively recommends analysis that has high strategic and commercial.
- Basic understanding of working within budgets.
- Knowledge and expertise in development languages such as SQL, Python, R.
- Knowledge of statistical modelling techniques with data preparation.
- Possesses a high analytical curiosity, and vast experience of potential root causes for different business problems.
- Ability to present/visualize complex analysis so that is easily consumable by all audiences.
- Ability to partner with and lead internal and external technology resources in solving complex business needs.
- Ability to lead development of actionable recommendations across multiple projects.
- Ability to write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of complex statistical projects.
- Strong skills in setting, communicating, implementing, and achieving business objectives and goals through the direct management of others.
- Strong organization/project planning, time management, change management.
- Strong problem solving experience involving leading teams in identifying, researching, and coordinating the resources necessary to effectively troubleshoot/diagnose complex project issues; prior success extracting/translating findings into alternatives/solutions, identifying risks/impacts and schedule adjustments to facilitate management decision making.
- Strong communication (verbal and written) and customer service skills.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills applicable to a wide audience including senior and executive management, customers, etc. including diction/terminology and presenting information in a concise and effective manner to clients, management and various departments using assorted communication mediums.
