Job Description

A leading player in the UK Smart Meter roll out programme need an experienced Smart Meter Device Testing Specialist to join the Test Assurance Team.

Reporting to Device Lead you will be tasked on the below duties:

Key Responsibilities/ Aims and Objectives

Plan the Interoperability Test Events with Testing issues team, CTO team and Design Team.

Manage the Interoperability Test Events with CH and end Device vendors.

Produce a report and Communicate the results of the test events with all internal and external Stakeholders and manage and work-off items.

Assists in the triage and resolution of testing issues by liaising with all stakeholders.

Supporting the Device Lead and wider Test Assurance Team initiatives.

Assist in the assurance of any devices being controlled by the Devices Team.

Key attributes e.g. expected level of experience/ qualifications

Excellent working knowledge of the following communication protocols is essential

DLMS

ZigBee SEP

GBCS

Experience of meter development highly desirable

Good communication skills (written and verbal)

Ability to lead working groups with diverse stakeholders

Other

General knowledge about the installation and operation of the end devices in the “real work” environment would be desirable
