Junior Buyer/Buyer

Job Summary
Working within the Purchasing Team, the Junior Buyer/Buyer holds a key position in the timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services to support the production plans of the company. The Junior Buyer/Buyer will support the overall strategic procurement process in the delivery of the businesses five-year growth plan and provide day-to-day administrative support for the Supply Chain team.
The Junior Buyer/Buyer will be an ambassador and role model for our company and will act with integrity and in accordance with company policies at all times.

Working Conditions
• Full Time
• Normal Hours of Work - 37.5 hours per week
• Monday – Thursday 7:30am – 4pm (Friday – 7:30am – 1:30pm)
• Location - Factory based.

Job Content
• The Junior Buyer/Buyer in conjunction with the Supply Chain Manager and Purchasing Team will be responsible for facilitating the reliable, accurate and readily available data to both internal and external customers.
Duties will include but no be limited to
• Placing purchase orders for Goods and Services securing best delivery, quality and cost
• Issuing requests for quotation (RFQs), enquiries, reviewing prices
• Expediting/ re-scheduling, agreeing delivery plans with suppliers, chasing outstanding items
• Handling supplier requests for concession
• Dealing with design and goods inwards queries
• Resolving invoice issues
• Running cancellations reports
• Providing costing data to the commercial team in order to support customer bids
• Keeping ERP system up-to-date
• Liaising with suppliers to build supplier relationships
• Keeping Supply Chain KPI board up-to-date
• Leading the day to day administrative duties
• Carrying out any other duties appropriate to this post, as necessary or as requested.
