We are recruiting a Part Time (24 hours per week) registered nurses to work at our Cheltenham location. You will be supporting learners with complex disabilities and caring for the physical and mental welling of young adults who may present with respiratory, diabetes, epilepsy and other associated requirements.

Working alongside well trained care staff you will be responsible for the health care of around 20 learners or residents. The role includes developing comprehensive health plans, medical procedures and protocols and liaising with internal and external multi-disciplinary teams. You will be supporting and developing non-qualified staff in the medication processes and empowering learners and residents to develop skills and knowledge in relation to their wellbeing. Management of medication, liaising with GP’s, pharmacy and consultants is part of the Nurse role at National Star. You will be developed and supported in all aspects of your role by the Residential Manager (not necessarily nurse qualified).

If you are an autonomous, confident and competent practitioner, who enjoys working in a busy and varied setting this could be the perfect role for you. National Star will support revalidation and offers excellent internal and external training opportunities. National Star offer an excellent working environment, facilities and equipment and the experience of working for an outstanding provider, both with Ofsted and CQC.

All nurses work shift patterns that include 7am early starts, 9pm late finishes and working every other weekend.

Interviews will take place throughout the advertising period.
