FANTASTIC OPPORTUNITY! We are working with a leading engineering business who supply specialist products to their global customer base. They have a market leading reputation in their field and are currently expanding the team!

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Operations & Engineering Manager, the Production engineer will work with the existing manufacturing team to support the production processes with the introduction of future automated technology. You will be instrumental in driving positive changes throughout the manufacturing department, with key duties that will include:-

* Working closely with Team Leaders, Technical Supports and Quality Engineers acting in a trouble shooting role to support production – machining processes.

* Identify process improvements within the manufacturing environment and implement changes identified to improve productivity and quality.

* Support and work with R&D to ensure the effective introduction of new projects to Manufacturing.

* Create and maintain manufacturing methods, procedures and safety policies in accordance with regulatory requirements.

* Use continuous improvement techniques to effectively identify, support and lead improvement projects within manufacturing areas

* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant technology, production engineering best practice and health and safety requirements

THE PERSON

The ideal Production Engineer will have strong analytical skills and be able to communicate clearly effectively. Key experiences required for the role are as follows;

* 2 years+ experience gained in a Manufacturing/ Production Engineering role

* Experience working in a CNC/ Machining environment essential

* Experience of tool/fixture setting, machine programming and passing off parts within a machining environment Ideal

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

* Relevant degree/ industry qualifications desirable
