***SEN Learning Support Assistant role to start September 2018
** Fixed-Term contract for 1 academic year based within a welcoming Thurrock Primary school
***£60-£70 per day, paid weekly (negotiable dependent on experience)
***Psychology Graduate with a 2:2 degree or higher and GCSEs of grade C or above in Maths, Science and English required
***Previous experience of working with children or vulnerable people preferred though not essential
***Accessible school with excellent links available via both public transport and the A13

This SEN Learning Support Assistant position would suit an enthusiastic Psychology Graduate with a 2.2 degree or higher, and a kind, caring approach. The Headteacher is searching for an SEN Learning Support Assistant with a confident approach and a good knowledge of the best strategies to support various learners with additional needs. The ideal candidate will be someone with a natural passion for SEN with a resilient and adaptable personality.

As an SEN Learning Support Assistant, your time will be spent working closely with pupils across the school with various additional requirements, typically those learners with ASD and ADHD throughout the Phases. This role will see the successful SEN Learning Support Assistant work alongside the class teachers in order to develop interesting and effective lesson plans which will be delivered both 1:1 with pupils and in small intervention groups.

The successful SEN Learning Support Assistant applicant will be working directly under the school’s SENCO receiving excellent support and training in order to build upon their classroom skills.
