Here at Health-on-Line we're looking for Test Analysts to join our expanding team. We're looking for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic and fast paced environment, working alongside an innovative and friendly team.

Our culture is a big part of who we are at Health-on-Line and we want someone to embrace this and join our family of nearly 500 people. Our IT department consists of nearly 60 talented individuals who support, manage, develop and test our bespoke IT systems which are all built in-house - something we are very proud of!

Who are Health-on-Line?

Health-on-Line began in 2000 and has grown significantly since - we now have nearly 500 members of staff across two sites, Bournemouth and Bristol. We provide private medical insurance to both individual customers and businesses and aim to make things as simple as possible for everyone, in what can be a confusing industry. We are lucky enough to have the backing of AXA PPP who acquired us in 2012. AXA have helped us grow to where we are today.

What will I be doing?

You'll be responsible for testing key software applications to meet business requirements, as well supporting testing of in-house business applications in their varied technologies.
You'll be writing and executing test scripts for software and systems to detect faults and keep a written record of these defects and bugs that are discovered during the testing process. As part of this process you'll liaise with the development team to discuss any problems that arise, and track the success of any solutions.

The team typically work a 35 hour week Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm.

What skills do I need to have?

We're looking for someone with a minimum of 2 years' experience working as a Test Analyst in the financial services industry. A thorough understanding of SDLC is important, specifically automated test processes in agile development environments.

A strong background in test automation including UI testing and integration testing using APIs and web services is essential, along with sound working knowledge of testing fundamentals such as TDD and BDD.

Our ideal candidate will have experience in building and monitoring automated test suites using a variety of technologies including, but not limited to, SpecFlow, Selenium Webdriver and SoapUI.

Whilst not essential it would be great if you had experience testing enterprise applications deployed to cloud environments such as Azure, as well as an understanding of coding enterprise applications using C# and Python. It would be beneficial if you are ISTQB, CSQA or CSTE qualified, or qualified to degree level in a technical related subject.

But most importantly, we are looking for someone who can abide by our core company values: integrity, passion, customer focus, innovation and team spirit. A creative and problem solving approach is key, along with passion and enthusiasm!

How can we help you fast forward your career?

When you join us you'll enter into a 7 day training programme with our training department where you will be taught all about private medical insurance and the products we sell.

We understand that everyone has different skillsets so we look to utilise this and develop everyone individually. Nearly 80% of our management have been promoted from within - again something we are very proud of! We offer training, support and development for all employees, no matter what team, and will always help those looking to progress their career.

What next?

All you need to do is submit your application and our Recruitment Team will be in touch. If we think you have the skills we are looking for we may invite you to attend a two-stage interview process.
