Work Relief Charity Recruitment is acting on behalf of one of London’s most recognisable homeless support charities and recruiting for a Fundraising & Communications Manager to manage both the fundraising and communications teams - improving external and internal communications work (especially across digital comms and emerging platforms) and developing the Trust and Foundation, Corporate and Community fundraising activities to achieve fundraising targets.

The ideal candidate will bring experience of successfully delivering awareness raising and/or fundraising campaigns within a communications team. They will be results and outcome-orientated, managing routes to market, marketing collateral and digital and social media.

£37,500 per annum

Duties will include:
• Implement the stakeholder strategy, improving external and internal communications work, increasing awareness of brand and work across London, to support fundraising and awareness raising campaigns.
• Manage a step change increase in the number of our supporters via digital communications including a the development of the website for fundraising purposes,
• Develop our Trust and Foundation, Corporate and Community fundraising activities to achieve fundraising targets
• Manage marketing elements of campaigns with PR Agency, to deliver high quality creative work that is relevant and compelling to audiences.
• To work with the Head of Business Development to deliver the fundraising strategy to achieve fundraising targets.
• To lead the and manage the fundraising pipeline and associated process of internal consultation regarding funding needs
• To support the team to develop projects for the fundraising pipeline
• To support the team to research/develop an evidence-base and business case to support grant applications
• To support the team to prepare, cost, write, present and monitor all grant applications/grants from Trusts, Foundations, BIG Lottery and corporates.
• Develop and grow new ways of raising unrestricted funds via corporates, community and challenge events, managing the team to reach KPI’s associated with each new stream of fundraising.

The ideal candidate will have:
• Significant and demonstrable experience of delivering fundraising communications, particularly integrated campaigns, across a range of platforms. At a managerial level.
• Substantial track record in developing and delivering communications strategies to both internal and external stakeholders through a range of marketing streams.
• Significant experience of increasing supporters through digital comms
• Project and/or event management experience, including managing external agencies.
• Managing printed collateral for fundraising purposes.
• Experience of fundraising – through trust, statutory, community, corporate or major donors.
• Understanding of the key principles of effective stakeholder engagement and communications
• Use of emerging technology, particularly around digital and ability to harness these in order to meet aims.
• Ability to write content and messaging to the highest level, including advanced proof reading skills.
• Experience as a people manager, supporting and empowering people to work independently
