Finance Manager/Management Accountant - ACCA or CIMA Qualified

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

PREPARATION OF ACCOUNTS

1. The preparation of timely and accurate monthly management accounts and associated reports for monthly Board
meetings

2. Ensure the overall accuracy and integrity of the accounting records and financial systems

3. Reporting & analysis of historical & projected data

BUDGETS & FORECASTS:

4. The preparation of budgets & forecasts and the continued monitoring & review of performance against them to enable
robust reporting of variances to the Board

FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT & CONTROLS

5. Effectively manage the working capital with specific attention to debtors and cash balances

6. Oversee effective & efficient credit control

7. Oversee & ensure accurate bank reconciliations

8. Active management of overheads whilst seeking out areas for efficiencies for savings

9. Oversee the monthly processing of payroll and payments to employees

10. Play an active part in producing an internal controls & procedures manual review and adoption by management

11. Play an active role in assisting management in the risk assessment process and embedding a risk management
culture throughout the organisation

12. Oversee the accurate & timely payment of creditors

TAXATION:

13. Ensure returns for Corporation tax, VAT and other relevant taxes are submitted, payments made on time and all
relevant regulations are complied with

SYSTEMS & TECHNICAL:

14. To take a lead role in the management & workings of Sage Line 50

15. To take a lead role in the management & workings of Autotask

TEAM:

16. Effectively manage, motivate and develop the Finance Team

17. Supervise & review performance of individuals in the team

18. Implementation of a change management culture by challenging established processes and procedures where necessary

19. Liaise with different departments to ensure the Finance team is properly supporting the needs of the wider business.

GENERAL

20. Manage relationships with accountants, tax advisers, bankers and other parties.

21. Ensure the board are kept informed of industry developments which are relevant to the operation of an efficient
finance function

22. Carry out any further tasks for which your qualifications & experience are suited as directed by the Company

As the Finance Manager you should be competent and confident in the areas laid out below:

MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTING

Demonstrate an exceptionally high mathematical competence; ensuring maximum attention to detail is shown at all times. A clear
ability to prioritise and organise is required and a high level of confidentiality is imperative.

TECHNICAL ABILITY

You must demonstrate a high level of technical ability, showing a good workable knowledge of Microsoft Operating
Systems especially Excel. You must also be fully conversant in the use of Sage.

ATTENTION TO DETAIL

You must demonstrate your ability to provide accurate information, ensuring it is in a usable format and delivered in a timely fashion
to whoever requires it. The work you deliver should be of a high standard with no need for checking.

COMMERCIAL JUDGEMENT

To continuously build on your knowledge and understanding of the business model and its market. Research and share the trends
that are changing within the industry. Show the ability to make sound decisions based on industry and economic knowledge,
allowing the achievement of key goals and helping the business grow.

TIME MANAGEMENT

To demonstrate control over the amount of time spent on a task ensuring you are productive. The ability to prioritise and organise
your workload effectively, in order to achieve goals and meet deadlines. Exhibit a strong work ethic ensuing you are not late or do
not waste company time.

You need to demonstrate exceptional communication skills, instilling confidence in others with regard to your knowledge,
competency and ability to deliver. Learning how and when to adjust your language and delivery dependant on the needs of
your audience is a key to your success. Assertive but fair communication with colleagues is essential as is learning the ability to
be diplomatic for the good of the business as a whole.

Show that you are a creative and innovate thinker, able to generate ideas. Question current approaches in the interest of
maximizing efficiency and suggest ways to improve. Proactively look for ways to improve products, services and work processes.

likelihood of success. Identify patterns or themes in data/information that may not have been readily apparent.

considered.

You are expected to demonstrate the ability to actively contribute to ideas and tasks in a proactive manor. Demonstrate
