Our client is recruiting for experienced procurement professionals to join their rapidly growing, dedicated procurement and supply chain team. Reporting into the Senior Category Manager, the role of Category Manager will be to manage medium to large procurement's whilst also assisting with the development of strategic procurement strategies as well as dedicated category strategies for a specific portfolio within the indirect category area.

As an experienced procurement category manager you will be tasked to lead on identifying and managing procurement projects as well as ensuring cost savings are delivered and key strategies for contract and supplier management are put in place. You will also be proactive in developing stakeholder management and ensure that regular reports and progress on procurement activities is communicated to key stakeholders and senior management as required.

As this role is working within the public sector a strong understanding of public sector procurement regulations and the ability to run OJEU processes via various dialogue procedures is required. In addition to public sector procurement experience you will also ideally be MCIPS qualified and have held a position where you have also gained exposure to man management
