Registered Service Manager

Full time: Monday to Friday (flexibility needed and with some weekend working)

Salary circa £35,000 dependant on skills and experience

Our client is recruiting for a Registered Manager for one of their established services for older adults living with epilepsy, some of whom have associated learning disabilities/challenging behaviour.

This is an excellent opportunity for a manager with experience in managing a registered care home to join their friendly staff team. You will have experience of working with people with learning disabilities/behaviours that challenge care giving is essential: having worked with people with epilepsy would also be an advantage.

Your excellent management and communication skills will ensure a caring environment and positive experience to care for individuals who live in the service through high standards of professional practice. You will also provide effective management and leadership of the staff team in accordance with statutory regulations, company procedures and clinical governance.

Working closely with a team of managers of other services, and with the Director of Care Services, you will be responsible for the improvement of quality standards, leading a team of motivated staff and support transition and change management for the service.

You must be able to work flexibly and participate in a rotational on-call service, and be willing to undertake further training and learning, as necessary.

You will have demonstrable experience at registered manager level, and of working with people who have learning disabilities, autism and, ideally, familiarity of working with people who suffer from mental health.
