Accounts Assistant required by a well-known company based in Maidenhead. The Accounts Assistant will be an integral part in the production of both the UK Meeting and Online businesses month end results. They will be required to maintain key reconciliations and provide support to the Finance Department.

Reporting to the Finance Manager Key Responsibilities of the role include:

* This role is responsible for the production of the Online businesses monthly results, including the management of the whole companies balance sheet, including:
* Bank accounts
* Prepayments
* Intercompany balances
* Accruals
* Fixed assets
* Management of some of the key UK Meetings business balance sheet reconciliations, including prepayments
* Support the month end close process, Prepare & post journal entries for accruals, prepayments and other accounting entries across both businesses
* Responsible for intercompany invoicing for the ‘Online’ business
* Playing a key role in meeting internal and external audit requirements as well as assisting in the interim & yearend audit process.
* Business partner with the FP&A and Marketing teams to ensure spend is managed correctly.
* Work with the wider business to manage the spend for other cost lines within the P&L.
* Prepare the quarterly VAT return for the online business and support the UK VAT reporting process through completion of the monthly intrastat submissions.
* Able to offer support, to the wider community, as needed.
* Assist with Ad hoc reporting requirements

The ideal individual will be a highly experienced Accounts Assistant AAT qualified, have proven understanding of accounting principles and be able to communicate clearly and confidently
