Job Title: Systems Project Manager - Factory Master

Interim 6 Month Assignment ++

* 1. Purpose of the role

Leading a team of local stakeholders to scope, develop and implement Access Factory Master, production management and MRP software, you will take ownership and create, write and deliver system manuals, flow maps, training programs and other source materials to fully support the MRP integration into the business to support organic growth.

* 2. Key responsibilities and tasks

* Working alongside the Head of Business and their local team to ensure there is a clearly defined scope which is fit for purpose
* Have a thorough understanding of high value project based production processes, e.g. QMS, BOM
* Be able to communicate on all levels specifically with senior stakeholders, i.e. Business Unit Managers, external consultants, Group compliance
* Manage and control project budgets, producing monthly reports on deliverables
* Driving through change, and setting, and delivery against agreed KPI’s & timelines
* Ensure that effective training programmes are carried out and produce training materials to support this
* Ensure ERP integrates seamlessly with other business systems & processes
* Post ‘go-live’, strong site presence to support continued adoption of system
* Provide solutions, implement processes to enable escalation through to resolution, feedback lessons learnt

* 3. General activities

* Carrying out any other ad-hoc duties as required to support the needs of the business.
* Working and/or visiting various sites, as required, for short periods, which may involve absence from home.
* Maintaining a continuous professional development to ensure knowledge is up to date.

Qualifications, experience and skills


* Project Management Qualification, ie Prince 2
* Substantial experience in scoping & implementing MRP/ERP systems
* Experience working in a Manufacturing environment having undertaken a similar transition
* Excellent communication skills & be able to engage and motivate teams
* Experience of budgetary development and control
* Able to undertake occasional travel within the UK, which may include overnight stays


* Experience working in a Defence environment
* Worked with Factory Master previously
* Self-driven and ambitious individual who can demonstrate the ability to perform tasks with quality in a timely manner with a minimum of supervision
* Ability to quickly and effectively build strong working relationships with clients and colleagues

Role travel requirements

* Some travel to other group offices in the UK may occasionally be required.

Other requirements

* Candidates must have an existing right to live and work in the UK
* Candidates must be able to obtain a basic security check which will normally require you to have been resident in the UK for at least 3 years
