Position: Plastics Process Engineer

Sector: Engineering, Manufacturing & Technical

Location: Market Rasen

Salary: £34,000 to £35,000 Depending on Experience

Shift Pattern: Full-time Monday to Friday, Days

Nicholas Associates (Engineering, Manufacturing & Technical) is recruiting on behalf of a multi-national manufacturing client for a Plastics Process Engineer in the Market Rasen area.

The Role

Trialling new and existing tooling, alternative materials and settings in order to define optimum settings, quality and yields.

Main Tasks

* Working with internal new product teams to trial existing and new tools to define & improve yield and quality.
* Trial of new materials to define setting sheets to achieve yield while maintaining quality specifications.
* Prove tooling and troubleshoot until running acceptably.
* Liaise with operational staff to understand tooling related issues
* Assist in Breakdowns

The Person

The successful Plastics Process Engineer will have:

* Knowledge of plastics processing and machine setting.
* Able to compile setting and fault finding instructions.
* Able to understand technical drawings
* Confident in challenging existing practices and looking for continuous improvement in all areas of work

Desirable Skills

* Crane licence
* Good knowledge of H&S requirements
* Experience of Moldflow technology
* MS Office Excel, Word & Powerpoint.

Essential Qualifications

* Qualified to NVQ or equivalent
