Schoeller Allibert is looking to recruit a Maintenance Site Electrician reporting to the Head of Technical Support. The role is based from our UK Head Office in Winsford, Cheshire.

Job Purpose:

To be responsible for carrying our regular Electrical installation servicing and maintenance work of equipment within all areas of Schoeller Allibert Ltd.

Responsibility and accountability include:

Directly responsible for adhering to company safety procedures when performing installation/ repair activity in all areas

To minimise repetitive faults/ repairs to electrical installations through effective fault finding and problem solving

Maximise mean time between failures through robust repair and maintenance of all electrical installations

Maximise up time through adherence of scheduled inspection programs.

Minimise purchase cost of spares without compromising quality of the repair.

To minimise the time taken to effect the repair by ensuring key spares are held on site as part of a strategic stock program

Takes a positive and proactive approach to continuous improvement through suggesting and agreeing ideas as part of a team or individual basis

Encourage contribution of ideas from the team/ individuals and gives feedback in all cases in a timely manner to ensure performance is maximised

Use continuous improvement tools and techniques consistently and appropriately to deliver best practice and improvement of the standard

Ensuring best practice is communicated and deployed across the shifts
To carry our any other duties, relevant to the post which may arise thus ensuring a comprehensive and flexible service to the business
Job Skills

Numerically and literally competent

Time Served Apprenticeship.

City & Guilds 2393 Part P

City and Guilds 2382-15 17th Edition Course

City & Guilds 2377-22 & 2377-32 PAT Testing

City & Guilds 2394 / 2395 Course Inspection & Testing

Installation of data cabling

Able to complete repairs and make good to building structure / cosmetics where required

Reading & understanding of electrical drawings

Electrical knowledge (fault finding, maintenance etc).

PC Packages

Plant Services i.e. Pumps, Air Compressors & Water Chillers

Hand Tools

Basic machine shop knowledge

MEWP Licence

Personal protective equipment applicable to the area, environment and process of work.

Experience in some or all of the above equipment usage is desirable

Behavioural Skills

Highly motivated and enthuastic with the ability to continously improve the way they work.

Ability to build relationships at all levels and have the ability to deal with difficult situations calmly and objectively.

Able to work well unsupervised and demonstrate initiative.

Able to change direction quickly, meet deadlines etc. and maintain a stable performance whilst under pressure and / or opposition.
