IMMEDIATE START!

Our Client based in Purfleet is seeking an Operative to work with them for 4 weeks, this requirement maybe extended.

The role is working Sunday to Thursday, rotating shifts (39 hours per week) – 6am to 2pm (1pm finish on Thursday) and 2pm to 10pm (9pm finish on Thursday). The role is paid weekly through React Recruitment Ltd, PAYE, occasional additional hours required. Starting pay rate £14.25 per hour.

Duties will include:
• Responsible for the organisation and booking of incoming and outgoing tankers into the computer system, preparing all documentation for the outgoing driver, such as Certificate of Cleanliness, Vendors Certificate and checking all documentation from the drivers of incoming vehicles.
• Responsible for checking internal and external cleanliness of all vehicles to be loaded, in accordance with specified checks, to ensure company and customer standards are maintained.
• Responsible for the safe loading of vehicles by use of the semi-automated loading system and in accordance with the tanker loading plan.
• Responsible for ensuring drivers are aware of the site safety regulations, with regard to vehicle speed, parking, weighbridge procedures, and that tankers position correctly in the loading bay.
• Responsible for checking the cleanliness and off-loading points of all incoming refined oil vehicles to be unloaded including taking samples for laboratory analysis, to ensure that the product meets defined quality standards before unloading.
• Responsible for tanker wash activities as regards driver co-ordination, highlighting operating problems and checking of wash procedures.
• Responsible for maintaining the production, tank farm and tanker loading areas – dealing with daily problems, stocking production consumables and completing a detailed report into the shift handover log.
• Communicating with the internal departments, haulier drivers and manufacturing operators to ensure smooth transfer of oil according to plan.

The candidate
The successful candidate will possess the following:
• Educated to GCSE level of education (grades A-C) including English, Maths
• Good written/verbal communication skills
• Good computer skills including Microsoft packages – Word, Excel, email
• An excellent team-player with a flexible approach to work
