4 On 4 Off Days and Nights 12 Hour Shifts

£38,000-£41,000 (Including Shift Allowance)

As the Equipment Technician your main role will be to maintain specialist manufacturing equipment and execute defined equipment maintenance programs to allow equipment and machinery to reach production requirements.

The role will directly contribute to key performance indicators such as overall equipment effectiveness (OEE). You will be involved with the organisation of the planned preventative maintenance activities and control local stocks in order to optimize production times.

Other responsibilities will include

* Vacuum pump management/Preventative maintenance
* Furnace tube changing
* Grinding wheel changing
* Diagnostics and fault finding

Skills and Experience

* ONC/Apprenticeship in engineering discipline
* Ability to diagnose know faults
* Ability to optimise and improve equipment
* Strong communication and attention to detail
* Experience in a manufacturing environment
* Ability to read and understand electrical drawings
* Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical safety
