We are looking for a BI Developer to take a lead responsibility for the specialist design and management of information systems, applications and platforms, and creative digital services to meet key business needs and optimise support functions.

You will build, facilitate, and develop strong ongoing relationships and work closely with clients and suppliers, and act as the central liaison point for sign-posting where support can be best provided to maximise client satisfaction.

The role:
You will deliver multi-functional and rapid application development using DevOps software development and traditional Waterfall development, including the migration of legacy technologies onto new cloud-based platforms.
Implement a broad variety of complex technical, operational and problem solving activities for IT applications and services, and provide professional advice about your area of expertise to academic and professional services staff.

You will have:
Extensive knowledge of BI, data warehouse and modelling best practice.
Experience of data manipulation, specification and development of interfaces between applications.
Experience of a range of ETL skills, including data modelling and design, data profiling, data aggregation and load types.
Be technically fluent in programming languages, web services or other appropriate technical skills such as: .NET (C# and VB), MVC, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSS, XML.
Be Experienced in web service standards (e.g. SOAP, REST, XSLT)
Understanding frameworks and OOP and OOD principles.
Have an understanding of software design principles.
Have a proven ability to communicate across multi-functional and technical working teams and build ongoing relationships to ensure effective communications and exchange of information.
Have recent experience of designing and implementing complex information systems, platforms and IT digital services in a commercial environment.
Experience of automated software and system management tools.
Be flexible, adaptive, and proactive in your approach to seek continuous improvement of our services and technologies
