A multi-award-winning, industry leading printing company has a fantastic opportunity for a Compliance Manager to join their Safety, Health, Environmental & Quality team at their Head Office in Leeds.

A great opportunity for a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual with a desire to promote improvements and implement standards and compliance initiatives to ensure the company meets the demanding requirements of its clients and help continue to build long term success.

Job duties and responsibilities will include:

- Communicating Quality Assurance (QA) requirements across the company - maintaining a robust quality inspection/standard programme through the manufacturing facility. Conducting random quality inspections of incoming and outgoing goods, whilst controlling non-conforming products, investigations and carrying out risk-management.
- Monitoring and measuring Management System effectiveness - Working closely with the QA Manager and other Heads of Department managers, you will monitor and maintain the processes in the production and publication of company procedures and supporting forms, structure and effectiveness of the company Business Management System. This includes Data/Root Cause Analysis, Auditing (corrective and improvement action) and report writing.
- QA planning activity - Supporting the QA Manager, to ensure improvement actions are implemented and closed within agreed timescales.
- Supply Chain assessments and monitoring - You will be used to dealing with suppliers and maintaining a demanding regime of accuracy and excellence. You will be methodical, precise and be able to maintain accurate record systems and report accordingly.
- Customer Support - Support customer visits on-site/off-site
- Health & Safety - you will manage safe systems of work and ensure compliance with relevant legislation
- Environmental role - you will ensure company systems are compatible with environmental standards and legislation, including conformity to Group policies and practices, including Corporate Social Responsibility and Zero labels to Landfill Policy.

You will be working in a Quality role with a background in:

- Extensive experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment - (Print and packaging background would be highly beneficial.
- Understanding of the scope and purpose of Quality Plans and Quality Management Tools and Techniques a background in Quality Assurance (ISO 9000 series) Producing Quality Performance Reports against Audit Criteria, Objectives / KPIs, Contractual Requirements

This is a "hands on" role and to be successful you will need to be a fully qualified quality professional; alongside:

- Being educated to degree level or equivalent
- Good interpersonal skills
- Excellent time management/multi-tasking skills/able to prioritise effectively
- Broad experience of carrying out third party audits (on supplier`s sites)
- Excellent reporting skills
- Excellent IT skills (MS Office and SharePoint)
- Comfortable building and maintaining effective client relationships
- Confidence in dealing with large, corporate clients
- Exemplary levels of attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

This permanent position is Leeds based (with UK travel and some overseas travel) and with the benefits of pension scheme and life assurance protection scheme.
