Accounts Administrator – Portsmouth – £18,000 - £21,000 per annum, dependent on experience

Accounts Administrator is required to join STR Ltd out of our Portsmouth offices, based in Port Solent. Our business is made up of a portfolio of niche recruitment companies that specialise in the Technical and Professional recruitment sectors. This role has been created due to expansion within the business and will be providing administrative support to a growing accounts team, with a focus on supporting the payroll of a rapidly expanding contractor base.

Key responsibilities will include;

* Weekly Filing and upkeep of all accounts files including archiving.
* Fortnightly Stationery and shopping orders
* Dealing with all In/outbound post
* Processing PO’s and updating PO spreadsheet -
* Monthly process and send CIS statements to Contractors
* VAT status confirmation, Contractors/EC Sales
* Sage clearing – new suppliers, customers, purchase ledger, cis payments
* Print Timesheets and process when necessary
* Cover Permanent invoices, expenses and purchase ledger
* Cover the Process timesheets, scanning timesheets and renaming, general administration
* Ad-hoc duties accordingly

The ideal candidate will have already gained professional experience within an accounts / finance support function. We will also consider graduates looking to build a career within accounting or finance.

The successful candidate will be highly enthusiastic and keen to learn, with excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work. You will need to be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate strong time management skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure. Computer Literacy is a must and you must be comfortable working with the MS Office suite of products, particularly Excel.

This is a full-time, permanent position and on offer is a salary of £18,000 - £21,000 p/a (dependent on experience), plus benefits include 23 days holiday per year (rising with service), Birthdays off, pension scheme, Cycle to work, healthcare cashback scheme and many more.
