The Opportunity
As a member of the Programmes’ Directorate, working for the Head of Customer Infrastructure Projects as part of a multi-national team, you will be accountable for managing the delivery of industrial infrastructure including pyrotechnical and conventional buildings to our export Customers. Management of specialised sub-contractors (consultants, designers, supervisors and contractors) both within and outside Europe will be a key element of your role. You will be accountable for the overall end to end delivery of your infrastructure projects (schedule, budget, and risks) covering the design and construction phase to ensure a quality output, as well as the planning and financial aspects of the project during tendering phase.

The Role

- During the design phase, you will be accountable for:
- Managing all necessary requirements and site data;
- Defining requirements and/or technical assumptions;
- Defining and specifying future infrastructure layout and functional requirements;
- Establishing guidelines and monitoring the completion of work performed by design offices;
- Securing and managing the budget and associated cost estimates, taking into account the technical and regulatory framework and resulting risk assessment.
- During the construction phase, you will be responsible for:
- Managing, supervising and controlling the completion of infrastructure projects;
- Managing the respect of technical, safety and regulatory requirements;
- Managing modifications and monitoring performed work studies until the final acceptance and hand over.
- You will also be expected to manage the post-delivery phase, including warranty and defect liability period.
- You will also be a key contributor to the development of the global Infrastructure team, its organisation, and its functional capability (e.g. process, databases, and work flows).

What are we looking for?

- Ideally University educated with an Honours degree in disciplines related to building and construction;
- Demonstrable professional experience in building projects (in a design and construction company);
- International experience working within industry and with Customers;
- Good track record in the management of sub-contractors for design and construction;
- Strong demonstrable project management experience covering the design and construction phase;
- General knowledge of building design and related disciplines;
- Pyrotechnic and related safety experience preferred.
