We have a rare and exciting leadership opportunity for a driven and strategic senior marketer. Reporting directly into the RM Resources (RMR) Marketing and Digital Director you will be innovative, have a strong track record of growing revenue and profit and be passionate about product.

The role itself…

Leading the Basic Skills product marketing division within RMR, the role holder will be responsible for devising and delivering the divisional strategy. This includes the development of product, with content where applicable, and selection of ranges, the marketing of these ranges, and the production of the catalogues to support sales and the relevance of the ranges and product presentation digitally.

What does the role involve?

* Product development and content, sourcing of factored lines and new suppliers and ensuring digital representation and shopability of ranges is best in class
* Ownership and accountability for the budgeted financial performance through all routes to market and across consolidated customer propositions
* Development of partnerships with organisations that support commercial performance, educational insight and brand awareness
* Foster a culture of high performance and strong engagement in your team and the wider business
* Sharing best practice across the business and working with the rest of Marketing to plan and execute strategies to deliver return on investment
* Remain fully aware of government educational policy and funding, educational pedagogical best practice, educational establishment priorities and issues. Full understanding of all competitor activity and strategy
* Ownership of cross RMR strategic projects, all divisional campaign marketing activity

Desirable skills and experience…

* Ten years of category management experience
* Strong interpersonal skills and substantial experience of managing a team
* Ability to create and drive your vision and strategy
* Highly commercial with a strong track record of growing revenue and profit and budget control
* Confident and experienced in negotiation
* Experience within the education sector
* Experience of new product development
