Job Title – Maintenance Engineer

Location – Bradford

Salary - £39,000 (plus overtime – OTE £43k+)

Shift – 2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 3 off, 2 on, 3 off (Days / Nights – Every other weekend off)

Our client is one the World’s largest Logistics specialists, with their turnover sitting at over £600 million globally, they excel at providing fully automated sortation and distribution centres for a wide variety of industries.

The company pride themselves on a 99.2% order completion rate across all of their customer’s sites worldwide, on customer orders with over 250,000 (450,000 at peak) orders per week. This is achieved through state of the art lines including cranes, conveyor systems, shuttle systems and robots.

The Role

As a Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for both Planned Preventative Maintenance Tasks and reacting to Breakdowns as they arise. With product volumes in the hundreds of thousands, speed is king and the Maintenance Engineer must react quickly to ensure the lines are up and running as soon as humanly possible.

Electrically the Maintenance Engineer will be fault finding with a multimeter through to component level, then replacing any faulty component. The site houses several miles of conveyor systems, thus a lot of the breakdowns will be mechanical in nature. This, coupled with the volume of product being moved per day, means that mechanical and electrical components are changed liked for like from stores.

The Candidate

To be successful in your application you must have the following skills or attributes:

* Must have a recognised Electrical or Mechanical Qualification.
* Must have previous experience working as a Maintenance Engineer.
