Behaviour Support Assistants required in Scarborough
Teaching Assistants (NVQ Level 2, 3 or equivalent preferred) with strong behaviour management skills are required for long term positions available in alternative provisions, mainstream primary and mainstream secondary schools, based in the Scarborough and Filey area. Positions are full time or part time, term time only and can run from half a term up to the whole academic year.
The most common posts we recruit for, will require support of children aged 12 - 16 years (predominately on a one to one basis) within the class. You will need to be flexible, have enthusiasm, motivation, good communication skills and the ability to work with small groups on specific programmes if required.
There is not a minimum amount of experience working within a School required, however a relevant qualification relating to Education (ie. Psychology, Health and Social Care, Special Educational Needs) is preferred. Experience in working with those with special needs would be an advantage, as would previous training in Behaviour Management including Team Teach.
The schools are interesting and varied, exploring beliefs and focusing on the development of each individual.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
