Healthcare, medical and laboratory volunteer work
If you are looking to enter the medical profession you will find volunteering in a developing country invaluable and inspiring. You will see what it is like not to have top-level facilities and equipment available to you. Our placements range from hospitals, rural field clinics, home visits, nutrition, health education and public health research.
We have projects in the following countries:
Costa Rica (Physiotherapy)
Botswana (Occupational Therapy)
Vietnam (Medical mission trek)
Lab work in Ghana and Belize
Whether you are a student, on a career break or retired there is a health volunteer project to suit your level. Those with experience will be able to improve on it by participating, students will take part in more basic procedures and shadowing doctors, whereas those with no experience are likely to take more of an observing and support role. Project fees include; accommodation, airport pick-ups, food, orientation and 24h support.
