My client in the financial services space is looking for an infrastructure consultant for a large project to commence as soon as possible. You will be joining a close knit unit who work well together to manage multiple requirements across the business. As an integral part of the team, you will need to be proactive, enjoy responsibility whilst also coming up with innovative solutions when the need arises.
The successful Infrastructure Consultant will have a solid background in Microsoft core infrastructure technologies. You will also be familiar working working within ITIL framework and change management process as well as supporting and occasionally leading virtual teams.
Prior experience of working for IT Consultancies or IT Services organisations would be helpful. Experience of managing various software upgrades and patches on different environments spanning across development and testing environments as per the standards agreed with customers.
Technical skills/understanding required:
Solid background in financial services (ideally gained within investment banks)
Active Directory Design - Implementation/Migration
Windows 2012 R2 deployment technologies
Windows 8 deployment technologies
MS Windows 2008 Remote Desktop Services
Unified Access Gateway
Microsoft virtualisation technologies (Hyper V, Virtual Server/PC) and / or Vmware including support
Office 365 cloud solutions
Experience of working in Unix / Linux environments
MCITP/MCTS in Windows 2008 and / or SQL Server 2008
Kerberos implementation and troubleshooting in multi-tiered applications
Microsoft System Center 2012 Suite (mainly SCOM, SCCM and SCVM)
Networking, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP etc.
Desirable Skills include:
MS Office 365 cloud solutions
SharePoint 2010 architecture and implementation
ADFS v1/v2 and SAML
MS Forefront technologies such as ISA, TMG, UAG 2010
