They are looking for a .NET Architect/Agile Development Team Leader to oversee a team of superstar bright developers in the delivery of several new projects for prestigious clients.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Stewarding the agile development process to ensure realistic customer commitments are made and achieved.

  • Leading design, build and test of products/client projects including 'hands on' programming in C#, JavaScript, SQL and other languages.

  • Acting as a design authority on systems and data architecture.

  • Assisting in the development of more junior staff on the team.

  • Effective stakeholder management through production of appropriate reports and liaising with key customers, product owners and business analysts.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 5+ years' experience in commercial software development.

  • Excellent communication and customer facing skills.

  • Practical experience of managing projects using agile methodologies such as eXtreme

    Programming (XP), SCRUMS or Lean.

  • Experience of establishing reporting metrics for stakeholders.

  • Experience leading teams and coaching personnel.

  • Commitment to agile engineering practices especially Test Driven Development (TDD),

    Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) and pair programming.

  • Deep understanding, of the .NET platform, especially MVC and Web API.

    The perfect candidates would have practical experience in three or more of the following areas:

  • Designing, building and testing rich web applications (especially JQuery, AngularJS.)

  • Performance tuning, caching and security management of RESTful web services.

  • Relational and NoSQL database design and performance optimisation.

  • Designing XML schemas and working with XQuery and XSLT in XRX architectures.

  • Developing semantic web/linked data applications using W3C technologies (OWL, RDF, Turtle, SPARQL)

  • Continuous delivery to management of high performance, scalable applications in the Cloud, especially on Windows Azure.
