Senior Manager Consulting Services EMEA Energy

A Senior Manager consulting services within the Energy and commodities sector is required to join a leading management consulting firm based in London. My client is a leading Top Four Consultancy are looking to produce a team of industry experts that design and deliver thought-leading strategic advice, methodologies, operating models to support C/ETRM activities within leading oil and gas, utility companies, investment banks, commodity merchants and consumer business companies.

You'll have a unique opportunity to shape and grow the C/ETRM practice to deliver ambitious plans and influence the strategic direction. You'll be a subject matter expert leading multiple, high-profile projects and bids, whilst developing innovative thought leadership.

You'll enjoy unlimited opportunities to progress as part of a fast growing team, working on complex, high-profile projects across a range of clients from traditional oil and gas and utility clients to investment banking and supply chain organisations.

Role Responsibilities

  • Own product solution across the EMEA region
  • Provide SME technical guidance and advice to clients on best practice
  • Manage technical consulting team
  • Create best practice approaches for software installation, hardware sizing, n-tier architecture design and interface guidelines
  • Provide escalation point for all technical consulting issues for team and client

Position Responsibilities:

  • Significant experience of Energy Trading or Financial Trading market
  • Experience of building and running a technical consulting teams
  • Experience presenting to CxO level
  • Experience in developing technical best practice methodology
  • Experience in mentoring and managing staff

General Requirements:

  • C/ETRM Strategy and Market Entry
  • C/ETRM Technology programme management and delivery
  • Risk management, including market, credit and operational risk
  • Trading organisation operating model design
  • Trading finance and finance transformation
  • Quantitative analysis
  • C/ETRM regulatory compliance

Candidates are likely to have the following capabilities in order to perform these roles:

  • Strong leadership skills
  • Track record to sales and business development in the sector
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills and the ability to articulate complex ideas orally, in writing and visually to "C" level

  • Expert knowledge of front, middle and back office activities and processes
  • An appreciation of quantitative techniques for risk measurement
