Salary: £23,800 - £26,000
Full description: We are looking for a Part 2 Graduate Architect to work on a full-time basis on a variety of projects in the residential and commercial sectors.
The position is ideal for someone looking to gain practical experience and move forward in their architectural career and they will gain practical experience under our direct supervision.
You will gain experience working on a wide range of projects at every RIBA stage with opportunity to visit a number of sites gathering a good understanding of the procurement and construction process. We are committed to the craft of building, which informs our design lead projects at every stage. This offers an excellent environment for developing your architectural skills and technical knowledge as well as the opportunity to work with a creative team and contributing to the design process.
Skills, qualifications and experience required:
-Bachelors in Architecture (First class)
- A Masters in a related field
- Experience dealing with Local Authorities in the UK
- Excellent communication skills in English
-Proactive and diligent. Great attention to detail is critical.
-Prepared to work both independently and as part of a team.
-Experience of UK Building Regulations and Town Planning
-Must be proficient in:
-AutoCAD 2D and 3D
-Adobe creative suite
-International experience would be an advantage
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Liaising with clients, local authorities, engineers and surveyors
-Conducting site visits
-Producing detailed scale drawings, specifications and other relevant documentation necessary for planning applications
- Collaborate and advise clients throughout the project lifecycle
-Submission and monitoring of planning applications, dealing with any issues that arise
-Monitoring construction work in progress to ensure compliance with specifications
-Keeping project stakeholders appraised of project progress
