IT Support Analyst (Desktop, 1st / 2nd Line) – Manchester – Up to £25k

Our client, a progressive and credible Insurance Company, is currently recruiting for an IT Support Analyst to provide Desktop 1st / 2nd Line support for their office based in Manchester.

Key responsibilities for the IT Support Analyst

• Provide support to in excess of 500 end users, analyse the problem, identify the issue, determine the priority and establish a resolution.
• Support VIPs in resolution of issues allocated to 3rd party outsource providers.
• Manage end-user devices and undertake desk moves, adding new users etc. in conjunction with 3rd party outsource provider.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation.
• Undertake business testing of applications.

Key skills & experience required for the IT Support Analyst

• Previous experience of working in a Desktop 1st/2nd Line Support role.
• Experience of logging calls using Remedy or similar and prioritising the resolution of the issues.
• Experience of supporting end-user devices such as PCs, Wyse thin-client devices, laptops, mobile phones, smart phones and telephone handsets.
• Working knowledge of MS productivity software such as Office 2007 or later, Project, Vision, Internet Explorer and Active Directory.
• Basic knowledge of XenApp, XenDesktop, Desktop/Laptop client is highly desirable but not essential.
• Excellent communication skills, comfortable liaising with end-users and 3rd party outsource suppliers.
• Previous experience of working with Audio/Video conferencing facilities is beneficial.
