Do you want to work for a world renowned organisation that specialise in the manufacture of critical and high precision parts for the aero-engine industry? Are you a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer who has experience in working in the aerospace industry with aero engine design experience?
If so, our client have just started working with a leading organisation that specialise in the design and development for the next generation of Aerospace engines and they would be keen to talk to you. The clients partner have recently started a ground-breaking innovative project and as a result of this, they are seeking a Project Lead on a Contract basis, to help undertake the design of static and rotating parts

THE SALARY/RATE/PACKAGE/BENEFITS
Project Lead
• £35 - £40 per hour
• Initial 6 month contract
• Based in Oxfordshire
• An opportunity to work with a company pioneering the next generation of Aerospace Engine

THE CANDIDATE
Project Lead
• Good engineering degree or HND in a relevant engineering discipline
• At least 3 years’ relevant experience in a similar senior project management function
• The Project Lead Proven track record in the management and delivery of concurrent design and make programs in an aerospace environment
• Experience within the Aero-Engine industry is desirable
• Excellent IT and communication skills

THE ROLE
Project Lead
Main responsibilities
• Overall responsibility for delivery of programs and projects, meeting all customer expectations, as well as meeting or exceeding timescale and budget targets.
• Execute concurrent design and make programs to agreed schedule and costs
• Day to day management and coordination of design, analysis, procurement, QA and manufacturing resources
• The Project Lead will be responsible for the Co-ordination and monitoring of suppliers for sub-contracted processes and activities
• Create and maintain program / project plans and work breakdown structures
• Monitor program performance and manage program change control; also includes P&L and CPI / SPI.
• Scheduling and facilitating business and technical gated reviews as required
• Ensuring all relevant processes and procedures are followed including those for project management, risk management, lessons learned
