We currently have a vacancy for an Area Delivery Manager at our site in Barrow in Furness.
As an Area Delivery Manager, you will be ensuring that facilities deliver products on time, manufactured to the right quality and within in budget. You will be responsible for the successful performance management of the team, proactively resolving problems in a strategic manner to minimise impact to the delivery programme.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to work within a busy role looking at the whole of the machining capability within many of the manufacturing facilities. You will be managing multi-skilled resource across different areas.
Your main responsibilities as an Area Delivery Manager will involve:
Ensuring that facilities deliver the products on time, manufactured to the right quality and within in budget
Providing successful performance management for the team, proactively resolving problems in a strategic manner
Being accountable to the Facility Delivery Manager for the delivery of manufactured products in line with the boat programme through the completion of discrete Work Packages contracted with the Programme, this includes the operational delivery of all manufacturing activities manufacture within the area of responsibility
Being accountable to the Facility Delivery Manager for the movement of resources between areas and to ensure weekly performance volumes meet the requirements of the plan
Ensuring performance reporting and issues against work packages are provided into the Facility Delivery Manager
Your skills and qualifications:
Experience of CNC machinery or management of a machining facility
Adaptable, strategic and proactive thinker to ensure that facilities are managed effectively to maximise output and to meet critical milestones
Leadership experience of working in a complex production environment
Experience of operating in an environment where compliance is key and understanding of the management of processes critical to site regulations
Control Account Management and Earned Value Management
