IT Infrastructure Engineer - Music Services

An IT Infrastructure Engineer is needed to join a leading global music services company in Central London (near Waterloo). With a network of 45 windows servers globally (25+ in London), expect to act as the go to person for all infrastructure issues, queries and improvement projects.

Working with some of the world's greatest artists such as Stevie Nicks, Dave Grohl and Skrillex this independent company provide unparalleled transparency with licensing management, works and rights distribution, royalty collection and other data. Employing 400 people worldwide, they represent over 8,000 artists, 600,000 songs and 500 publishers providing them with real-time, powerful and transparent reporting. They are now seeking an IT Infrastructure Engineer to join their talented team.

Working closely with the current IT Infrastructure Engineer you will assist with the design, implementation, maintenance and documentation of their global network and server infrastructure. Whether you are acting as the main point of contact for all infrastructure issues and queries; taking the lead on improvement projects; implementing a global backup strategy; assisting with the de-commissioning of old servers; or resolving escalated incidents, it will be your excellent communication skills that ensures infrastructure improvements are in place to deal with their rapid growth.

To qualify. You should be an IT Infrastructure Engineer / Systems Administrator / Server Support Engineer / IT Operations Specialist or similar, with a CV that demonstrates:

  • Experience in a similar role, ideally within a small to medium sized company that has experienced rapid growth;
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft tools including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Hyper-V;
  • Strong knowledge of storage & backup technologies (Veeam);
  • Experience working with AWS – (they use AWS S3 & Glacier as part of their back-up procedures);
  • Experience working in a multi-site organization;
  • Customer focused service delivery skills;
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills;
  • Excellent documentation skills, both technical and user documentation.
