Brewster Pratap are working in partnership with an award winning international manufacturer to recruit a suitably experienced Product Manager to drive forward the new product development and market innovation within their target market. We are interested to hear from Product Managers, Marketing Managers and Project Managers with a background in product management and NPD who can easily commute to Doncaster from surrounding areas such as Rotherham, Scunthorpe, Sheffield, Wakefield and Hull.


The job involves being responsible for new product implementation and introduction, ensuring the sales team are fully equipped to represent the company and maximise sales of the product portfolio. You'll also take ownership for a portfolio of products and ensure the marketplace offering is as accurate and competitive as possible. Areas of responsibility will include:

  • Delivering a viable product portfolio and support package that precisely match market needs and company strategy
  • Complete product lifecycle ownership from introduction to end of life
  • Technical product and service support of the highest quality to sales, marketing and distribution teams
  • Acting as the process owner for new product introductions
  • Ensuring that the company's product introduction procedure is fully operated across all departments
  • Providing the sales team with relevant information and support to enable maximisation of pricing and product profitability
  • Challenging product costs and sales prices on an ongoing basis to optimise the revenue earned
  • Ensuring market intelligence with the aim of holding accurate information on the strategies, structures, key personnel, key product groups and pricing, as well as product performance data of competitors
  • Ensuring that product groups are continually reviewed for rationalisation or expansion opportunities
  • Creating and adhering to a plan for product implementation so that all departments as well as media and customers are aware of the implementation status
  • Ensuring that technical product knowledge and training is provided to all relevant members of staff, and that they are of sufficiently knowledgeable standard to represent the company in relation to this product, and have enough support and information to perform their roles
  • Making strategic decisions on bringing products to the end of their life, ensuring 'end-of-life' procedure for is robust and effective
  • Acting as an ambassador for the company - providing technical information, presentations, support, advice and general engagement with outside organisations to ensure that the reputation of the company is one of technical excellence and of possessing in-depth technical knowledge of product and solutions


To be successful in your application you will need to be able to demonstrate suitable previous experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Product management
  • External or internal sales management with strong market knowledge and project management skills
  • Marketing professional with strong technical understanding and project management skills
  • Engineering background with good project management skills
