My client is one of the leading engineering consultancies in the world with offices on every continent and thousands of employees worldwide. Due to a strategy of growth they are now looking to bring in an additional Associate Director to join their team.

This organisation possess a strong environmental planning team that sit within a 400 strong group of environmental professionals, leading on EIA management and providing ecology, archaeology and landscape and visual inputs across a wide variety of sectors including renewables, property, transport and waste.

Success to date has come through strategic studies, baseline studies and EIA for power generation and transmission projects and has bought about this additional role for an experienced EIA project leader.

The ideal candidate should have an existing profile with organisations in the power sector and proven experience of supporting projects through the EIA process and producing environmental statements. They should be able to communicate innovative ideas effectively during bid submission and be able to secure the support of clients and colleagues to achieve smooth progression of studies to a successful outcome.

Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
*Bid Preparation
*Preparation of bid response documents.
*Project Delivery & Resourcing
*Hands on delivery of EIA project management to the power sector.
*Financial management of project activity ensuring delivery to programme and agreed time budget.
*Maintain oversight of workload and, subject to agreement of EP Director, secure additional resource in response to workload demands including mentoring of junior staff.

Skills / Experience
*The successful candidate is expected to be a member of IEMA and is likely to be from a consultancy background and able to demonstrate:
*A track record of delivering successful project solutions and outcomes for clients in the energy sector.
*Technical excellence in energy generation and transmission project EIA delivery.
*Experience of cultivating new business opportunities and preparation of commercially successful bids.
*Ideally have a technical background in ecology, landscape, archaeology or planning or similar discipline.
