Senior PMO Manager

Looking for someone with excellent stakeholder management skills dealing with government subsidiaries, Internal/external stakeholders. Someone who is Experience in Prince2 Structured waterfall environments. If you have set up a PMO from scratch this would be a benefit but not essential.

The Role

The Senio PMO Manager will lead the delivery of a large internal IT Projects using industry standard project management methodologies and disciplines. This individual will provide effective management and leadership of the project with direct responsibility for the end to end delivery to time, budget and quality.

This individual will report to the Finance Director and therefore will need to have senior level experience with the ability to communicate and escalate issues and risks as appropriate. This role will work cross-regionally and should have a good understanding of managing cross-regional teams.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Has created a Programme Management Office in a comparable organisation with an operational imperative and can demonstrate a successful outcome
  • Worked effectively in more than one industry and demonstrates skills and knowledge transfer
  • Worked effectively in a competitive tendering environment
  • Demonstrates the ability to successfully lead, coach and manage individual project managers, setting clear priorities, delegating and guiding appropriate investment in people and systems
  • Demonstrates a commercial, innovative and effective approach to operational improvement in a complex multi-disciplinary project and programme environment.
  • Has very strong stakeholder management and can demonstrate managing C-level sponsors and effective mentoring.

  • Familiar with best practice in PPM and change management and has a good understanding of the "body of knowledge" or similar
  • Demonstrates financial acumen with solid budgetary and financial controls with a good understanding of managing variances
  • Demonstrates keen analytical and problem solving skills which support and enable sound decision making. Demonstrates mature judgement
