Helpdesk Manager/IT Manager – Permanent – London £35k-£40k

Our client based in London is urgently seeking a Helpdesk Manager/IT Manager to build relationships between numerous branches and the Helpdesk function. The successful Helpdesk Manager/IT Manager will be responsible for ensuring that any IT issues are dealt with quickly and efficiently to ensure the smooth running of the trading operation.

The successful Helpdesk Manager/IT Manager will be responsible for the daily management of the team of 6 to include 1:2:1s, performance reviews and recruitment of new members of the team.

Key skills & experience for the Helpdesk Manager

• Previous experience of working within an infrastructure support function with a sound knowledge of Active Directory, Windows Server / Microsoft System Centre 2012, Exchange 2008, SQL Server 2008 / 2012, SharePoint 2013, Cisco Firewalls, Hyper-V, LAN, Wan and communication networks.
• Demonstrable experience of managing a small team of people (2 people plus)
• Managing 3rd party suppliers to ensure quick resolutions of problems.

The Helpdesk Manager/IT Manager role would suit someone that is currently working in a 3rd Line Support function with responsibilities for managing other team members who is looking to gain further experience in a Management position. Although a good technical knowledge is required for this role the successful Helpdesk Manager/IT Manager will be working at a strategic level as oppose to providing hands-on support.
