Does an early finish on a Friday sound good? Are you an experienced Procurement Manager with a manufacturing/ engineering background? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Procurement Manager working for a leading supplier to the automotive industry based in Bletchley. Salary circa £40k plus 25 days annual leave and other excellent benefits working Mon-Thu 7.30-4.45; Fri 7.30-12.30!

As Group Procurement Manager, reporting into the Plant Director, you will control and plan material purchases, including onsite support services ensuring the business plan is met in the most cost effective manner.

Main aspects of the role will include maintaining and operating the material element of the business, and managing stock levels ensuring minimum capital employed and satisfy MRP effectively. You will identify, liaise and negotiate with material suppliers ensuring lowest cost at all times meeting quality of spec required, control delivery of repaired components to customers, and present at team meetings on performance and risks affecting the project.

You will have experience of working as a Procurement Manager or Purchasing Manager for a manufacturing or engineering organisation. CIPS qualification would be advantageous together excellent knowledge of MS Office (in particular Excel) and MRP systems.
