Automotive Test Technicians with experience of engine or transmission in a development environment urgently needed.

We have exciting and interesting 12 month+ contract opportunities working on the development of a new transmission system for the automotive industry.

The roles will be based overseas in the Benelux Region and offer excellent rates of pay. Additionally, all travel costs (flights and transport) will be reimbursed. Accommodation costs are also covered and all workers will receive a 'living allowance' equal to approximately £50 per day whilst overseas (including non-work days).

You will work on a three-shift pattern with long weekend breaks back to the UK every 2 or 3 weeks.

Test Technician Requirements:

Understand transmission, powertrain and/or related systems.

Be able to work in fast paced, multitasking environment.

Review, understand, and convey technical information in an effective manner.

Mechanical, electrical, and electronic aptitude.

Knowledge of operation and function of all of the related test machines and data acquisition equipment.

Excellent working knowledge of print reading and interpretation including both mechanical and electrical schematics.

Excellent troubleshooting skills will be necessary to complete the required tasks.

Associate's degree in engineering or technical discipline preferred or equivalent years of experience.

Effective oral and written communications skills to communicate cross functionally.

Ability to effectively use spread sheets and other computer skills as required.

Test Technician Role:

You will be expected to inspect, assemble and conduct a wide range of difficult and complex technical tests on products.

You will demonstrate characteristics that foster team progress and will take initiative on challenging assignments.

Assist in the design and planning of test setups.

Perform tests according to specific test requests.

Assure proper calibration of instrumentation.

Analyse results, provide recommendations, and maintain accurate records.

Service engineering by building and maintaining test equipment.

Calibrate test equipment as necessary.

Support the laboratory development, production launch and maintenance of transmission components or systems for the automotive market.

Skilled use of engineering development lab tools and equipment in assembling and testing prototype hardware while demonstrating strong key competencies.

Prepare and submit documentation and reports as required.

Maintain equipment and orderliness of work environment.

Adhere to safety and compliance procedures.
