For this role, you will be a confident psychology graduate who is both resilient and empathetic. It is important that you can create and maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment. Experience supporting pupils with complex needs is essential for this role as it demonstrates your ability to succeed in this role, and determination to support pupils on an ILP.
The Psychology Graduate will be responsible for providing overall support to the class teacher and SENCO in and outside of classes. Under supervision of the staff, you will lead 1:1 and group sessions for pupils who are struggling to adapt to a general class environment. Once assigned key pupils, you will work with them to meet their academic and behavioural plans so they are on target in their development. General duties for the Psychology Graduate include creating stimulating environments, acting as a positive role model and liaising data with professionals and parents.
Based in Merton, the Headteacher and the SENCO are searching for a bright and nurturing graduate to join their team to improve the development of their pupils with complex needs. This is a highly rewarding role, and the school are looking to support a Psychology graduate through Teacher Training.
