Database Administrator - MS - SQL
Opportunity to work as a Database Administrator for the UK’s fastest growing independent Service Provider for the micro-SME sector.They supply business phone lines, mobile and business broadband to more than 130,000 customers and have recently added electricity, gas and card processing services to the portfolio, providing cost effective service solutions, offering substantial customer savings and market leading support.
The role:You will be joining a team developing multiple MS SQL Databases and BI solutions. The role will see you define future development of the business’ technology platform , taking responsibility for delivery of multiple projects to various business streams and establish new ways of working and architecture moving forward. This diverse role will give you the opportunity to gain extensive experience on different products and services with a strong potential for further development of your career.
Basic Information·Database Administrator ·Location: Sheffield·Full time - Permanent·Mon – Fri ·Pay: £45-55k per annum (Depending on Experience)·30 day holiday per year (inclusive of bank holidays)·Health cash plan & Pension

Experience and qualification required:·5+ years experience designing, developing and maintaining large-scale databases using Microsoft Sql Server·2+ years experience of database administration ·2+ years experience of working in an Agile/Lean environment ·Three-year university degree or equivalent in a computing discipline·Experience of SSIS\SSRS\BI·Experience of database performance tuning and refactoring processes·Experience of coaching developers in SQL best practices·Good knowledge of storage technologies, memory management, disk arrays,networking
