Outstanding career job opportunity at a leading Accountancy Firm who are looking for a Statutory Reporting Senior Manager to play a key part in their Finance business in Milton Keynes. You will work as part of their newly established 'North West Europe' entity of firms in a role based out of the UK. You will take a lead on North West Europe's management, statutory and specialist accounting function. Performing high level reviews and liaising with senior stakeholders in the firm, your expertise will be critical to the ongoing functioning of their Finance teams. You will lead on creating and reviewing the firm's accounting controls. This role is based in Milton Keynes, but may require occasional travel. This is a full time, permanent role. However, they are open to discussing agile and flexible working arrangements in line with business need. Responsibilities include: Providing a technical review of the statutory accounts ensuring they are in-line with IFRS accounting standards and policies. Advising Financial Controls Director on updates required to policy, procedures and controls in order to be compliant with IFRS accounting standards. Monitoring incoming changes to IFRS accounting standards, ensuring change programmes are in place prior to implementation deadline. Delivering technical training to employees and providing advice on IFRS standards to the wider Business where required. Leading on the preparation and reconciliations required to produce notes to the accounts. Compiling completion accounts for acquisitions and managing the audit process for these types of accounts. Perform high level review of quarterly pension accounts and give final approval, submit accounts to the Secretary of the Trustees, and address queries arising. Review the quarterly FCA return, submit to the Compliance Officer and the QRM team, and address queries. Leading and overseeing the external audit process. Owning the production of year end statutory accounts, and preparation of quarterly accounts for key stakeholders. While playing a leadership role actively work to produce the year end statutory accounts, and the preparation of quarterly accounts for key stakeholders. Assist in leading and supporting the external audit and resolve issues.
Requirements * You must be a qualified accountant * You will also be able to demonstrate team management and development experience * Have extensive and up to date knowledge of accounting standards * Experience of year end accounts preparation and liaison with auditors You will be working within Internal Client Services which contributes to the success of this firm through six departments: Clients & Markets, Finance & Legal, Human Resources, IT Services, Property & Corporate Services and the Shared Services Organisation.
